That's quite familiar root vegetable for winter in Japan.
I stood in the kitchen as always and decided to cook the Very Japanese dish.
Simmered Mackerel in Miso Sauce (鯖の味噌煮)
Very typical Japanese family dish.
The mackerel and mooli which are simmered in Miso sauce are extremely tender and have rich flavour.
Meanwhile I cooked the pickled salad with mooli and lotus root.
Wintery vegetable combination.
