Ika-Meshi is so popular food in Japan, and is derived from the local food of northern island, Hokkaido. I used to enjoy this typical Japanese taste when I had a train journey with Bento box. I served this along with Beetroot jelly seasoned by Kelp and Bonito. Such like a jewel! How uplifting! Good starting after a long Easter Holiday. I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend too.
