The other day when I found such a stunning sunset, there was same colour on my dining table.
Prawn, Squid, Basil Soup Spaghetti.
I made this soup from fresh prawns, squid, basil and other basic vegetables (onions, garlic and carrots) by simmer .
So quick but much more flavourful!
This is perfect for busy & freezing winter evening.
I hope we will be able to see such a stunning sky tomorrow as well.
Heavenly beautiful Truro.
Crispy Prawns, Home made Tartar sauce and Broccoli Cornish Blue Cheese soup were on my dining table.
Crispy Prawns, this is very popular as a family style meal in Japan.
Most children love deep fried food so much, hence this is a safe bet for parents!
I have a work of catering for a private party tomorrow evening.
It's getting a high season for a party!
To meet new people makes me thrilled and pushes me to be more creative.
Have a lovely weekend.
The other day when I found such a beautiful morning moon, somehow I came up with an idea for a dinner.
Vietnamese Spring Roll & Broccoli Cornish Blue Cheese Soup.
This soup's broth is based on Japanese broth (Kelp & Dried Bonito), then no wonder this has so deep but very mild flavour.
In a way, this is Japanese flavour soup.
My family really love this!
Thanks goodness, their smiles made my day as always.
Have a lovely weekend, everyone.
The other day I luckily found a fairly fresh seafood at a local shop.
Then I decided to cook a hearty meal as I wanted at least my dining table bright (What a miserable weather!!)
Sashimi Salmon & Charred Seafood Sushi Rice Bowl
As a side dish, I made a Red Cabbage Chinese Salad and Spicy Konnyaku.
Konnyaku is the very typical Japanese ingredients and they are almost non-calories!
Looks like a flower garden.
This cooking made my day.
I hope you all have a wonderful week as well.
The other day a shorter daylight like wintery whispered me to make a hearty meal for cheering my friends up.
Salmon Sashimi, Organic carrot tempura & Falafels.
I served two types of Sashimi Salmon; Tarragon & Porcini oil Marinated Salmon and just plain one.
Here, help yourself and treat yourself too.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend from my heart.
A little gem in my world.
In such a unipue morning, I cooked a Spicy Seafood Soup based on Japanese Broth (made from dried kelp & bonito).
So clear soup which contained shedloads of seafoods gave me a deep flavour.
And spicy droppings of Rayu (Japanese Chilli Oil) are perfect for awaking me up in the cold morning!
For other side dishes, I placed Stir-fried vegetable rice and Kimchi salad.
Both are very Japanese dishes too.
These hearty meals are boys' favourite.
That's the reason why I chose them.
I hope you all have a splendid week too.
This was the most of the fish which I have been so desparate to cook in my Japanese dining in the UK.
We Japanese enjoy eels in fillet and grill it above charcoal.
That's an artisan world such as there are specialists and restaurants that specialise in eel dishes in Japan.
This meal is so traditional and has long history in our country.
So, no wonder their dishes are so expensive and that is for special occasion meal for us.
Finally...yes indeed finally I found them in the UK!
Eel fillets which were grilled on a far infrared radiation are incredibly melt in your mouth!
Enjoy with a special sweet soy sauce on it.
They are very Japanese food and I love these fermented food since they create deep flavours for us.
My boys who experienced the grilled eel for their first time gobbled them as well.
Thanks goodness for our health and lucky opportunity to enjoy our these heritages.
Finally winter has come to this Cornwall.
And it meant the season of some bugs are coming around as well.
My little boy who has got a cold is more clingy than usual, and his big brother lies down close to him all night long.
What a sweet brotherhood!
Then I made their favourite food especially for a poorly one.
Stuffed Cabbage Roll Tomato Sauce.
This is a typical Japanese home style dish and good for a winter season.
Beef, loads of vegetables and Asian herb flavours.
Get well soon by these good nutritions and lovely brotherhood.
The other day I was over the moon because I ultimately succeeded in finding a good Wagyu (Japanese beef) supplier.
I have been so desperate for their beautiful marble meat for my cooking for a long long time in Cornwall.
What a feeling by achieving a dream!
So, I attempted to make a sample dish for my Christmas Supper Club at once.
Dry Aged Wagyu Beef with Wasabi Cream.
How tender, succulent and flavourful!!
This made me bliss.
Are you getting interested in my food?
Thankfully my Christmas Supper Club has been quickly sold, then only a few places are left now.
I hope to see you all there.
These lovely guys made me heals well from cold (and sometimes wet) winter weather.
Tonjiru (Japanese Miso-pork Stew) & Home made Kimchi
Home made...this means we can tune the chilli level for your family's preference.
Mine is very mild for my little boys.
Perfect for keeping my family who come back home warm and unwind.
I hope you all have a splendid day of middle of the week.
