Sautéed pork steak is a so popular & well-known as a home style dish in Japan.
And my big boy (hubby) was so missing this dish recently, so I made the pork saute adding my twist: my dish was inspired by Wiener Schnitzel which I learnt in Vienna in this summer.
First I bushed the pork steaks and made them thin, then pan-fried them coated with corn flour.
And serve the sauce which made of carrot, ginger and a hidden flavour, a tiny amount of blue stilton alongside.
Oh my...such a lovely tiny garden!
I loved this!
I won't be able to share any photos tomorrow as I will be devoting myself to prepare the supper club of this Friday evening.
I hope you have a lovely weekend everyone!
Looks simple, but I quite like this crunchy light meal.
Just a small tip, dredging some chives in boiling water is helpful for making a nice flexible ribbon.
Then, just assemble pickled mooli, smoked salmon and sushi rice ball together.
They stand out in live coloured organic carrot leaves.
This deep-fried Tofu with soy broth calls "Agedashi-tofu (揚げだし豆腐)", and one of the most traditional Japanese food.
I love it!
I hope to share how to make these food with you in the near future.
In such a beautiful evening, I was eager to have a healthy and clean dinner: plenty of fresh vegetables and good protein.
Then I made this dish: Pesto stuffed tomato, Green salad with brown basmati & wild rice
This tomato was stuffed with mixture of pesto and creme fraiche.
And the rices which was boiled in a fish stock were wrapped with fresh asparagus.
The black sauce is Nori (seaweed) paste sauce.
Well, my energy charge has done for my next supper club of this weekend.
I hope you all have a good start for this week too.
The other day when I got a freshest Cornish plaice from a local fishmonger, I dressed the plaice for fillets in my kitchen.
What a beauty!
And as always I made a fish broth from these bones, so clean and clear broth!
No spoil is my way to show my gratitude to all harvests.
Then I made these fillets into this one dish:
Roasted Cornish plaice, Garlic dill butter sauce, Mashed broccoli
I quite love this vibrant cauliflower that are local grown.
And I put some freeze-dried tofu (高野豆腐) for garnish.
They are typical Japanese food and also contains loads of high good nutritions.
Thank all harvests for supporting our lives.
I have thought that anytime.
We had a blast for my younger boy's birthday at home despite such a wet weekend.
I can't believe he is already 4!
We baked dinosaur green tea cake together and boys made their own decorations on each dinosaur.
After such a busy weekend, I was eager for a healthy and kind food to my body.
So I was fascinated by making this dish in my kitchen: Chargrilled Chicken thigh, Ginger carrot sauce, Japanese Dashi form
This sauce is made of five vegetables and beef broth.
So it packs full of flavour and rich taste but extremely low calories.
How was your weekend?
I hope you had restful days.
