Pork Miso Stew (Tonjiru) is a kind of Miso Soup, and very popular as home-style dish and street food in Japan.
Also probably every home has their own recipe, ingredients & taste for this dish.
I loved my mum's Tonjiru which was flavourful, then my one is based on her taste and I added some more rich flavours to that.
This hearty stew is perfect for chilly night like these days.
I cooked a dessert with an extra Tofu and strawberries.
That's a Sorbet.
This contains No dairy products but high good protein of soya.
I do hope you all have a smiley day today too.
Sky high, Fly high.
I cooked up some dishes which were based on authentic Japanese taste.

Beetroot Oriental soup
I flavoured all dishes with Seaweed broth or extract powder.
That's effective to make deep flavour.
Everyone's smile with these dishes made my day.
I do hope you have a splendid day today.
Cornwall is getting blessed by beautiful spring.

This dish is really popular for Japanese casual food.
Stair Fried Vegetables Anchovy, Ginger and Soy sauce
Matcha Strawberry Roll Cake
That's pretty popular in Japan as well.
Slight bitter Matcha taste is match with thick sweet cream filling and fresh sweet strawberries.

Friday 13th May, The Bento Night in Truro
I hope I meet you soon.
Unaju, Grilled Eel rice Bowl, is quite popular dish in Japan.
Grilled eels which is char-grilled by specialists of eel are absolutely delicious.
The combination of delicious warm rice and glistering sweet caramel-like unagi sauce over the perfectly grilled unagi is just lovable.
Actually I asked my husband to bring me to my favourite grilled eel restaurant just after giving a birth of my first son.
Like that, they deserve credit as a special treat.
Nowadays I really miss their taste, but sadly it's pretty hard to get the fresh eel in Cornwall.
This week I happened to find a packed smoked eels in a online shop, no reason not to buy it.
And cooked Grilled Eel Rice Bowl.
That looked absolutely authentic one.
But...taste and texture of the eels were sadly far from my joy.
These my journey for the perfect grilled eel dish is still keep going.
Everywhere in Cornwall burst with spring sunshine.
That pushed me to cook the delightful dish.
Japanese taste Spaghetti.
Garlic butter & soy sauce, King prawn, Salmon caviar, tarragon.
Very quick cooking but absolutely flavourful & rich taste.
Oh joy, oh joy!
I hope you all have a splendid day tomorrow.
It was a beautiful day with such a stunning sky in Truro.
My elder son served me with his pretending dishes.
Apparently he wanted to treat me with the Japanese popular dishes.
Thank you, sweetheart.
He inspired me to make the very Japanese dinner on that day.
Chicken and Egg Rice Bowl.
Stir Fried Sweet chill Lotus Roots.
They are pretty typical home made dishes.
My family absolutely loved them.
I hope that I could serve them in my supper club in the soon future.
In this season a green is a good match for the dinning table.
I was eager for the fresh fish on this day.
I sliced the Sashimi Salmon and arranged them to Carpaccio Japanese taste.
Marinated Salmon with sea weed powder.
Topping was the sauce ravigote.
The fresh sweetness of Pomegranate and the rich & oily Salmon's flavour are best match.
Happy vitamin colour made my family jolly.
Have a lovely weekend all.
Mixed days with beautiful and stormy weather.
I didn't feel like to go outside, then I grilled some Salmon fillets for Teriyaki as this is one of my most easiest cooking.
(Actually I would cook this dish with closing my eyes.)
Teriyaki Salmon and Grilled Garlic Rice.
Munch Munch in the rainy weekend.
I should thank our family's health & wealth at this moment.
Tonight the sky in Truro is so beautiful.
In a beautiful day I always bring my children to the outdoor.
The warm sunshine makes me want to get out!
Such a busy day, the stock of pesto which I made is useful.
I keep this pesto in the freezer all the time.
This time I chose mussels and pasta.
Steamed mussels with wine, pesto & spaghetti.
Pretty simple & quick cooking, but my children are huge fan of this flavourful dish.
Here the weekend has come again!
I hope you all have a enjoyable weekend.
Little gems in my garden,
It's time to celebrate the spring.
Also the wild garlic too.
I chose a stir fried rice with Japanese pulled pork for the dinner.
Chopped and added wild garlic is nicely flavoured.
Carrot Asian Soup alongside.
That's seasoned with coconuts milk and coriander.
I fully charged energy.
Do hope you have a wonderful tomorrow.
